I read the first few Outlander books back when they came out. I liked Outlander a lot; and loved Dragonfly in Amber. I got increasingly indifferent about the others so stopped reading-doesn't mean they're bad, per se, just didn't hold my interest as much.

The main problem in turning them into a tv show is that there's some graphic, detailed sexual violence in the first one; and references to it, after. The usual period violence, bodice ripping and whatnot is pale next to this particular episode, imo, and I doubt they'll put it into the show. But I bet it'll sure surprise people who go read the books when they find out it's a series.

I don't watch Constantine, but I'm disappointed to hear about them making a bisexual character straight. I don't often see bisexual characters in tv shows or movies, and not often in books.
