Garth Nix, Jennifer Fallon, fantasy/sci-fi book fandom, AND female characters? I am very into all those things (although I have to admit that I'm more a fan of Fallon's Tide Lords books than her more recent stuff). I'm basically in fandom for tiny book fandoms, so I'm always keen to meet people who want to talk about books!

I'm also an immigrant to the UK (I'm originally from Australia), although I've been here just over eight years now.

Would it be okay if I added you?

Ooh, yes, sounds like we have lots in common already, please add away. Pleasure to meet you! I'm an Aussie too, originally from Sydney. And Tide Lords was incredibly awesome, I have yet to read anything by Fallon that I don't love actually, Medalon/Hythrun is just my favourite overall so I was over the moon about Lyre Thief. Most of my Fallon books are in a box back home for the moment but one day I hope to do a big re-read and somehow write a massive gen fic or maybe meta working all her series into one big universe(s) because that's my personal slightly ridiculous head canon for her various series.

Ah yes, the bookworm's dilemma about what to do with your books if you move overseas! Most of mine are still in my mum's place in Sydney (I'm from Canberra originally, but my family moved to Sydney in 2003 and I lived there for about five years, so I sort of feel as if I'm from Sydney too).

I love that idea for a multifandom Fallon fic!

*adds you back*

It was SO hard I can't even begin. I had six overpacked bookshelves back home with well over a decade of book hoarding crammed in and I actually sold or gave away most of them. I got it down to six of those book-specific half sized moving boxes of my forever favourites, and then bought a kindle after we arrived in London haha.
