Hi! You know Lina Inverse! And I hope you like POI! For me the show gets better later in the series (and then you come back to season 1 and get blown away at all the callbacks they put in season 1!)

The first three sets of Slayers were among the first anime series I bought on DVD. I first met Lina Inverse at GenCon in the 80s when I wandered through the area where they were showing anime. I had no idea what series they were showing, so it was another few years before I was able to see the rest of the series. It was the episode from season 1 where Zelgadis captures Lina. I had no idea, for the longest time, what happened after that and didn't realize that I hadn't seen Lina at her best/scariest.

For me, I saw Lina Inverse on TV on a Saturday morning. It was dubbed in my language and steadily fell in love with her because at that time (even now, I think) there's no one quite like Lina Inverse!
