This helped me a lot in early 2017 when Trump had just been elected, and I am hoping we can get the same feeling going again, after the UK election was such a shock.

Connections are important when it feels like the world is getting darker. Fandom is a huge and strong network of people. We don't always get along, but we're stronger together.

Make new friends, reconnect with those who have drifted, enlarge your circle, and know you are not alone.

Imperial Radch? That's the Ancillary books, right? A friend gifted me Ancillary Justice late last year, and I'm excited to give it a go! She seemed pretty hyped about my reaction to it.

Discovery looks really interesting but I just can't afford Yet Another Streaming Service. Heck, the only reason I got Disney+ is 'cause I have Verizon.

Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Gundam, JRPGs, Mecha Anime, Dragalia Lost, medieval romances,

You had me at the first several entries but then the medieval romances snuck up from behind and clubbed me right in the back of the head! (But, like, in an appealing way.)

I took my leave of Dragalia Lost (well, for now) because I developed some spending issues with it early last year, but I'm still very much in love with FEH as well as Fire Emblem as a whole. I'm also real big on medieval fantasy and romance. I've been longingly glancing at the Iron-Blooded Whatever Gundam series on Netflix, but as I was toting two jobs until very recently, watching much of anything wasn't really doable. That's changed, though, so I will have to give it a try soon!

We share a heck of a lot of fannish interests. I'm very FF, very FE, very tabletop. (Might be quite Gundam again in the future, we'll see.)

F a i r w a r n i n g, I might be doing some 3H liveblogging as I progress in that game's multiple playthroughs, and it sounds like you're maybe not such a fan of the more recent material in the franchise?

I am very much not a fan of 3H specifically (and the obnoxious shift in art in Cipher and FEH over the last year and a half-plus), but I just ignore 3H posts that come over my flist.
