This helped me a lot in early 2017 when Trump had just been elected, and I am hoping we can get the same feeling going again, after the UK election was such a shock.

Connections are important when it feels like the world is getting darker. Fandom is a huge and strong network of people. We don't always get along, but we're stronger together.

Make new friends, reconnect with those who have drifted, enlarge your circle, and know you are not alone.

Active/primary interests or fandoms: So far 2020 looks like Guardian and The Untamed! Probably some WIP amnesties and cool-down posts for Check Please and Jane Austen and other old favs.
If you've seen me around, it's probably because: I wrote a lot of Jane Austen meta last year. I'm never prolific enough to be a big fishie, but I've been splashing around and squeeing about LoTR, Buffy, Stargate SG-1, Fullmetal Alchemist, Glee and other things forever.
I post about: Nerdy and/or horny meta, fic and vid recs with reasons why, occasional real life recaps and recipe dumps.
I post/check my feed: I read almost daily, but have energy to comment less frequently. Posting sprees come and go, but it's never a deluge.
I want to find people that post about: Untamed! Let's get Untamed fandom up and buzzing on DW! Guardian already has great infrastructure here, but I still want to meet more fans. I also love reading general fannish meta, and ridiculous, funny and joyful reviews and recaps, like skygiants does so well. I love fic recs. Also food blogging.
