As someone who recently started working part-time with small animals, including birds and reptiles, this seems very cool to me.

Star Wars is cool! I'm planning a Buffy watch (no, not a rewatch, just a flat out watch -- I maybe saw a handful of episodes during the show's original run, but I've never really watched it) later this year, too.

Wiping down pigeon cages and feeding cardinals is a solid way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I'm just there a couple of afternoons a week. What is it you do?

It's fascinating to go back to shows like Buffy because it's easy to see how heavily they were constructed - when sweeps week came on, which episodes had actual plot and which were just excuses to fill an hour of TV, the fear of cancellation and the push and pull of art and commerce.
