This helped me a lot in early 2017 when Trump had just been elected, and I am hoping we can get the same feeling going again, after the UK election was such a shock.

Connections are important when it feels like the world is getting darker. Fandom is a huge and strong network of people. We don't always get along, but we're stronger together.

Make new friends, reconnect with those who have drifted, enlarge your circle, and know you are not alone.

The sequel is scheduled to publish February 18 and I am DYING waiting for it. I just love that book to death.

And yes! 2019 was a banner year for Watchmaker Yuletide fics, wasn't it? I lucked out with some amazing treats in that fandom this year too.

I am most interested in interacting with people on: Probably tumblr, but I feel bad about leaving my DW cold, so here, too!

I love space, angst in my fic, apocalyptic settings, and writing either only porn or 40,000 word PG fics. *facepalm*

Active/primary interests or fandoms: Doctor Who/Torchwood (especially Jack Harkness) and Buffy/Angel. Also more recently MCU, Merlin, Hannibal and Good Omens. Also more generally musicals, dancing and knitting. (I have a shop selling eco-friendly knitted items on Etsy, which takes up a lot of my 'free' time)
If you've seen me around, it's probably because: You've read my fics (I posted a lot around 2007/8) or seen me roleplaying as forever_jack over at bakerstreet/the_love_hotel. I've also recently started posting all my old fics (and the few new ones that I'm managing to write!) from LJ/DW over onto AO3.

My RL is incredibly busy so I can go months without checking my feed because I simply don't have time/space in my brain, but I'm more likely to be around when there's new Doctor Who airing, as there is about to be, or when I've found new people who get me thinking about interesting things! :-D
I want to find people that post about: Any of the fandoms mentioned above, especially the (my) newer ones. I'm finding it difficult to connect with people about my newer fandoms, because the communities that used to support it on LJ/DW don't seem to get much action any more and I don't know where to find people! I'm generally most interested in the m/m relationships, but I can become invested in anything if there are strong enough emotions and/or the prospect of a bit of bdsm/kink! (Also, sorry, but I'm not particularly interested in people who post mostly about RL, because I simply don't have the time to absorb it all. I'm here for the fandom. Once I get to know you, I'll be more interested in your RL, but I'll often skim over RL posts becuase of the time factor, so I'm warning you now!)
I am most interested in interacting with people on: Dreamwidth/LJ. They are my safe space, I know how they work and they're not too big and new and scary! But I'm open to other suggestions, if the right people are hanging out there and you think I'll be able to get the hang of the platform! (NB: I cannot get my head around Tumblr. Sorry.)

Anything else you need to know about me: I am obsessed with Jack Harkness. I've been a John Barrowman fan ever since I saw him in Phantom at the age of 24, but it's Jack who really grabbed me. I was incredibly active in a group of people on LJ in 2007/8 who were equally obsessed with Jack, and I've been writing and role-playing him ever since, and *still* finding new things to say.

So I'm obviously interested in meeting other Jack fans, but also very much in meeting people with *other* interests that intersect with mine, because there's not likely to be any more new Jack canon (except for a few audio plays) so I'd really like to find other characters to obsess over and pick apart!
