Work is complete and utter bullshit and now let us never speak of it again.

I've been writing this post since Sunday, and it's nearly Sunday again. What is time? Where am I? I am not completely certain of anything at this juncture.

Patrick Stewart's gave me chills. Happy chills. He sighs at the end, and I swear I relaxed about ten notches. (What are the units of relaxation? I think of notches on a cog. My cog wheel cranked down about ten notches.)

[community profile] fandom_checkin is a comm with a two part poll to do just that - check in and say you're okay. And then chat in the comments if you want to. I like the low social obligation of the poll - it felt good to tick that box, even when I was finding it difficult to write comments.

- via [personal profile] used_songs I think?
[community profile] covidcoffeecorner is posting daily chat topics.

- [community profile] stayinside is for people stuck inside -- because of COVID-19 or any other reason -- who could use some help keeping calm and carrying on.

- via [personal profile] jb_slasher - this made me cry, apparently I needed to hear this from the Doctor (c/o [twitter.com profile] bbcdoctorwho )

- On the Person of Interest discord, there's a rewatch for lockdown going on. They're doing an episode a day, and tomorrow's ep will be 1.06 The Fix, with Zoe!! (<3 Zoe!)
Here's an invite to the discord:

I'm Danpants#0070 on discord, by the way, and I'm always up for a chat, if you're lonely during lock down. I'm working pretty hard at the moment so I might not get back to you right away but I will get back.

In other Person of Interest news, sign-ups are open for the annual Exchange of Interest! It's small and fun and easy going - nominations have closed, but I can put in a good word with the mods, and get anything that's not there added in for you. Every canonical tag is already approved plus a whole lot of amazing pairings:

Time seems... so odd now.

Yay links! I’ve posted in the friending thing, will look through the comments there soon

I’ve already added some of those things from seeing them elsewhere🖤

Yes! I loved Jodie’s video, it was so sweet

I’m loving various fandoms organising rewatches, it’s so awesome! I’ve not seen Person Of interest since the early seasons but I remember liking it

Whoa, foldingathome looks amazing! Did you try downloading it? I'm not sure whether my computer is good enough, but if this is a practical thing I can actually do...

Edit: Have downloaded and it's running fine! I can just let it run in the background and forget about it. Aaaah excited.

I may take you up on the offer to chat on Discord! Once I figure out how Discord works. Can you just message people individually?

(I'm in my thirties, yet internet old. I'm horrible at texting and doing anything on my phone more complicated than emailing someone a very brief message. I use a laptop for 80% of my online interaction. Basically my internet usage is stuck in 2008?)

I found the Doctor's message oddly comforting. Given that I haven't even got around to watching her series yet.

I've looked at some of those signup groups. I'm a diehard introvert but this is getting even to me...just a bit.

I LOVED Thirteen's message, and Patrick Stewart reading Shakespeare is always beautiful.

(I'm bummed that a lot of people appear to be using Skype and Facebook chat/facetime whatever and Discord to connect right now. I hate chat programs and can't use them because of my hands anyway.)

fyi, Sir Patrick is reading a sonnet a day (in order) and posting to his twitter. ♥

The rest of the sonnet performers are also awesome, but he's really stepping it up.

Thanks once again for a useful list of things! :) I tried to do the fandomcheckin, but the link didn't work - I think it's fandom_checkin? I also teared up watching the Doctor. Stay well.

Thanks for the links! Glad to hear you're alive and well over there. :)

Sorry to say, your fandom_checkin link appears to be borked. I was able to backtrack and find the comm via [personal profile] spikedluv, however, and have joined. :)

I'm starting to think that Discord is something I should be doing. I'll try and remember to put my username up when I get that far.

Heh. My re-watch of POI has hit season four, so I'm far far ahead. Also, I refuse to suffer through 1x3 ever again. It was bad enough the second time around, even with skipping large portions (I think it's 1x3. The one with the vet and the theft ring. Only redeeming feature: Carter meeting Finch).

And I would sign up, but me and exchanges don't get along, unfortunately.

I'm sorry life is being such a bastard right now. I'm reading my flist trying to catch up on everything.

I hadn't realized the Exchange of Interest was running again. I'll have to think about signing up if it's not already closed.
