As a fellow old person... I remember being incredibly thankful that we had electric hot water back then. The number of people who couldn't have a hot shower/bath for weeks... eurgh.

LEVERAGE!!! I just finished a rewatch before the lockdown. So good. Thanks for this news

Though I am a little worried they might mess up my OT3 for the dramahz.

I have also loved the Doctor Who stuff - the Sarah Jane one stamped all over me. Tonight it is the Family of Blood two-parter rewatch on the twitters and I cannot wait to see how it has held up

Vanilla Slice Jaffle

*gasp*

(I haven't owned a jaffle iron since I moved out of my parents' house. And I don't have a fireplace or a gas stove, so it'd have to be an electric jaffle iron if I did, and that's Not The Same. This didn't feel like such a loss until right this moment.)

Edit: have now read 'A Guide To Working Breeds' and am ded of killer robots cute.

I wasn't thrilled at them being STUCK IN WWII ALONE FOREVER (a way to write them off without killing them off? I guess? altho I thought "Power of Three" kind of left that open. Can't they just have fun jaunts once in a while without it being life-threatening/the end of the world?). But I didn't expect it to be so moving to see him talking about how they survived the war, and were going to pick up their son, and he had the only working iPhone -- that kid is going to hear such stories. And Darvill is such a neat actor -- that PAUSE after he said it was terrible but they pulled through (paraphrasing) said everything about the parallels to this present day, without actually saying a word. That man is so talented. (ACTINGPatStew.gif)

One of the family heirlooms is a cast-iron jaffle iron for use over an open fire. It's at my brother's place in Melbourne (& I am nowhere that should be hosting a campfire), otherwise I'd be tempted to give a whirl for ANZAC Day.
