I have lots of new people from various friending memes, and I wanted to make a post to say hello.

Hello, new people! I'm not normally this quiet.

I've been quiet as a mouse for the couple of weeks, trying to get my Twin Peaks/X-Files casestory bigbang finished.

It's still not finished.

Obligatory freakout: OMG IT WILL NEVER BE FINISHED AND WHO IS GOING TO READ IT ANYWAY AND ALL MY IDEAS SUCK CAMEL BALLS AND WHO EVEN THINKS THIS WAY ABOUT THE CHARACTERS AND I AM A BIG HEAP OF FAIL AND NOW THERE ARE ARTISTS INVOLVED SOME OF WHOM I KNOW WELL AND I AM GOING TO LET EVERYONE DOWN

It's only 22K. Dude. I wrote so much more last November. I wrote 22K in, like, a fortnight. I was a writing GOD during NaNo. Where is my god now?

I think I will never emerge from writing this thing.

(I think this happened last time I wrote a bigbang.)

Writing should be easy. Rainbows should come out of my fingertips as they dance across the keyboard, and they should be tasty candy rainbows and not the kind that give you a chemical headache like Skittles.

Ugh.

I feel you on the writing difficulties. I'm not working on anything as big (for lack of a better word) as a bigbang, but there have been no candy rainbows lately, and it kind of sucks. Sympathy and e-hugs are available if you would like them!

I'm sure you're going to be fine, though, because anyone who can do one bigbang and then come back for more is clearly a badass.

It really does suck! I'll share the sympathy around, because there is nothing worse than writing when it feels like a ball and chain. I hope your candy rainbows come back soon, too.

Twin Peaks/X-Files, wow I can't wait to read that. I totally get the panic, I'm supposed to be finishing off a challenge fic that's due in about twelve hours, but I've been staring at it for all night, and gotten hardly anything done.

Good luck with your fic! I hope it comes together for you in time. Write ten words, then ten more, and so on - I've found that small bites work well, and they add up.

I kind of loved SG-1 but I know it's not for everyone. Sam's one of the best things about it though. She gets to grow from a geeky and determined to prove herself Captain into a geeky and competent Colonel. She is all kinds of awesome :)

(It's mostly viewing Twin Peaks mythology through the X-Files lens, so as long as you know that Scully is the sceptic and Mulder is the believer, that's about all you need to know.)
