My fishy friends
Oct. 15th, 2005 11:51 amWe have a marine tank at work. It's a bit of a folly, because it sure ain't cheap to keep, but the customers love it, and I love it, and it's good feng shui. And who doesn't love invertebrates? They're alive and intelligent, and yet they have no spine.

The big pink jelly is actually a soft coral. It looks tasty, but I suspect it is probably poisonous and nasty to eat.

The brain is a hard coral. I like it, because it looks gelatinous and brain-like. The blue starfish is huge, and moves slowly like a creeping blue hand of death. The pink/green starfish curls up the ends of its feet, and moves very fast.

This is my tiny terror of the deep. It smuggled itself in, and started growing on the side of the tank. It's an anemone (and I've just found out I've been saying that word wrong all my life.) Little Cthulhu is growing really fast, although presumably he is still dreaming. *rolls sanity check*
