Patron Saint of Falling Over Things

To lurkingcat and thisbluespirit who are my fandom triplets. And muccamukk who almost makes us quads, for yesterday's birthday. I hope you all had a good and safe day. Birthdays are stressful for me, but knowing I have fandom friends out there who share the day really helps.

I had to work, but there was a tray of assorted slices, and I had a bit of the peppermint and a bit of the jelly one.

For my birthday, I got an official ADHD diagnosis, and am on the path to getting medicated. I'm not really sure what to make of it, at 49. I think it means maybe I can be a little gentler on myself when I lose my socks yet again?

Happy birthday me, and thisbluespirit, lurkingcat, and eumelia. What a fangirl convergence we make!

Also, I'm forty five this year, which is nicely alliterative. This pleases me.

I am having a nice day, with some lovely autumn sun. I had to make a giant extemp. ointment at work, which isn't ideal fun, but lilacsigil got all the ingredients for me from the high shelf. I am loved.

Sneaking in a happy birthday to the three other fangirls who share my birthday: eumelia, thisbluespirit, and lurkingcat. And to muccamukk, who pipped us all at the post by a day. Mine was yesterday, because of datelines, but it's still the 14th on the other side of the world.

I had a good day, considering that birthday season is a little like duck season in my family. But I baked a plaited fruit bread and a blueberry muffin slice, had an awesome freaking work out with my personal trainer (I mean, one of those ones where she says "And it's time to stretch!" and you don't want to stop because everything feels so good.) lilacsigil bought an electric blanket for my old bones, and I got to snuggle with Baggins who felt so safe he could tuck his nose under his paw. It was adorable.

We still haven't moved - there's tradies going everywhere, and right now the driveway is being concreted (because the gravel was deep and horrible to walk in.) We had the pleasure of talking to a guy who makes bookshelves, and after much arm waving and showing of pictures on the internet, he is going to build us a bookshelf that has steps on the side so the cats can get to the top and run around. I am not ashamed to be that cat lady.
