A tiny rant: Fuck, what is it with people posting spoilers outside cuts? Or, you know, not using cuts at all? You're operating in a global environment, people, and I'm asleep while you're watching the latest episode of Doctor Who. (Though I'm of a mind that it's polite to cut for any spoilers, no matter how old.) A character's name, if they're a character we've never encountered? Is a spoiler. And if someone says "Hey, mind out for spoilers!", then listen. For fuck's sake. Have a little respect.
In other news: I fell over an open drawer yesterday, in full view of three customers waiting for prescriptions. It was a spectacular fall, all arse in the air and flailing and saying fuck a lot. It was even more amazing, because I was the one who opened the drawer in the first place, and who immediately forgot about it. I am all over bruises in improbable places. After
lilacsigil's fabulous dive off the stairs the other week, I am starting to think gravity is broken out here.
(I say fuck a lot, really, though generally not in a work environment. Though, I wouldn't have said that I swear more than anyone else I know IRL. It just seems odd to realise that the internet, though sometimes seedy, is actually a lot more polite than you.)
We can't get to the cinema for ten days. I really want to see X-Men: First Class. It is the primary fandom, after all. EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT! This is seriously affecting my ability to interact. But I have a hellish week next week, and there is just no, no way I can spare a day to go to Geelong and back.
Casestory bigbang is in edit! 32K. Only, what? 12K more than I was expecting. (And there's two prequels to go with it, so there's another 10K to add.) But it's done, and now I can make it better. (I am so, so ready to be done with Twin Peaks. I wish I wasn't such a single-channel viewer when I'm writing.)
Speaking of big bangs, I have a plot bunny for the
sfa_bigbang, the Sanctuary bigbang. But it involves writing the Five, and I've never written the Five, just Helen and James. I can't quite get my mind around writing Druit without thinking about him mutilating women. But it's such a neat idea. *kicks it viciously*
I have to write my
junetide fic. This weekend, ideally. I don't have a lot right now. *flails*
Random music to make up for all this crankiness:
- Nyan Cat ringtone. WTH. I made a Nyan Cat ringtone for my sister. Anyone else want it?
- Game of Thrones theme - it's a rip from the TV soundtrack, so a little soft. And it has all the clanking noises of the telescope and clash of swords, but it has such a lovely cello line that I don't care.
- Immigrant Song // Trent Reznor/Karen O - ripped from the youtube preview for Girl With a Dragon Tattoo, so again, a bit soft. But deliciously wild and yowly.
*kicks that plot bunny some more* I hate you, idea. You're going to be a real pain, aren't you?

I hate it when people are careless with spoiler cuts, especially if they get huffy when asked to be more careful. I have been known to remove people from my reading list for it. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to just put the cut first? Anyone who wants to read what you have to say will click, and it's a courtesy to people who haven't been able to see whatever-it-is yet.
Speaking of which, ouch, having to drive all the way to Geelong just to see a movie. I hope your hellish week goes by fast so you can get away from the vicious drawers and malign stairs to go have some fun.

Yes, this is what happened for us. It was the "Well, that's your problem" sniffy remark that did it for me. I'm not a curmudgeon. I just want people to be polite. It's not hard to be polite.
There is actually a cinema closer, but it has old fashioned seats that are too pinchy for my fat bottom, and also, it has a tendency to get on fire. (And then I'd be wedged into a too-small seat, and would be incinerated...) So we go the extra distance to the modern multiplex, it's worth it.
