Breaking radio silence for Warehouse 13
Aug. 9th, 2011 09:14 pm Tonight's Warehouse 13 was pretty obviously made for me, me, me.
Because flashbacks! And Helena inna waistcoat! And Ianto was there, and he was called Woolly and he was deliciously dorky and their boss was evil and Helena's brother had nearly no chin! And, and, and... *gasps*
And there must be only one Victorian era set in Vancouver, because that has to be where they shoot Sanctuary, and every five seconds I expected Helen Magnus to walk past.
If that's the pilot for the alleged Warehouse 12 spin-off, I will be a very, very, very happy pumpkin.
Oh, god, that last scene. With Myka, and the regret and the things unsaid and the feeling of loss and, and, oh.
I just love this show beyond measure. I really hope it survives - I don't know how well it rates in comparison to Eureka (which was just axed) but I hope it's enough to keep it on the air because it makes me so happy.

Date: 2011-08-09 04:15 pm (UTC)Is it just my femslash goggles, or does Helena only ever seem to flirt with women? I mean, there's the part where she makes out with Pete, and the part where apparently she's slept with every guy in England except for Oscar Wilde, but the first is manipulation and the second is telling, not showing. She flirts with Myka and she was definitely flirting with that girl at the party before she left. I love it.

Date: 2011-08-09 05:36 pm (UTC)Not!Ianto made me happy, too, partly just to see Gareth David-Lloyd looking well. In his last couple of seasons as Ianto he looked neither well nor happy. Anyway, I'd so watch the adventures of HG and Woolly.
However, I do have to add that I cringed every time they referred to Sir Arthur Eddington as "Sir Eddington." Dear script writers: do your research. (And that's even leaving aside the fact that the historical Arthur Eddington was 10 in 1893.)

Ooooh, yes please. I can definitely handle Myka as future girlfriend.
