Getting on with stuff
Dec. 8th, 2005 10:30 amI have to make an entry, so I can stop looking at the "my cat died" post.
We have a giant hermit crab in our tank, and I think I'll call her Hermoninny.
We are surrounded by wildlife at the moment, probably because the days are longer, and we're up and about at dusk. There was a koala on our nature strip yesterday afternoon, heading up the road. We have a big stand of gum trees outside of our house, and at night we can hear the koalas making horrible noises as they move from tree to tree. There's a colony of about 500 corellas (like cockatoos but with a little pink crest instead of a big yellow one) living in those trees, and they make a terrible noise. I hope they move on soon, they start hollering as soon as there's light, which is about 4.30am at the moment. There are blue-tongue lizards harassing people's dogs in town. And my mum saw a big snake down at her dam. She has tiger snakes in her area, so hopefully they'll stay out of the house.
