Making icons is the new procrastination.

I've been following icon-making tutorials on icon_tutorial, when I should be working on an altered book due quite soon.

I used the same crop of a promotional picture from House MD, and applied different people's tutorials to it.

Here's the crop (it's from the Fox official House MD page).


Tutorial by merrydrought yields these:

neither of which look anything like the tutorial, but the texture didn't suit the image and I got carried away.

Tutorial by cauldroncake yields

Again, quite different from the tutorial, but I guess the point is the learning. I like this one. I uploaded it.

Tutorial by lonely_lemon yielded the following:

and also, (using a different image completely, because I was getting bored, and needed drugs for my headache.)


So, I think I'm getting better. Still get stuck for words - hence a lot of the icons say "House" instead of something incredible witty. But I'm getting there.
