German Duolingo seems to be obsessed with ducks and newspapers. Other highlights include - "you are carrying my fish", "no, I am not a banana", "your bear drinks beer", "your boy eats insects" and my two favourites, "the mice are reading books" and "the ducks are reading the newspaper." It's also wrong about verb positioning in denn clauses but ... I accept its limitations.

Re: Aussie accents - Anglo-Aussie friend enjoys playing guess where from for Aussie rugby league players. He's significantly better at NSW and Victoria (where his Australian family are from) than the rest of the country.
