I want to resume my watching of PoI someday. I have picked up a bunch via fandom osmosis (including how it ends), but I actually only watched the show partway through the 2nd season. Someday I need to finish, because I think I would enjoy the fandom!

It's pretty AND pretty poisonous! (And apparently quite psychedelic once you cook out the poison? But I'm not game to try.)

POI is a very neat parcel of canon, I think - it stealthily has a bunch of great ideas about artificial intelligence, which I think are the bones of a lot of concepts in Westworld. But I also love that it threw a lot of effort into all of its recurring characters as well as the main ones. I hope you get to finish it some day! There's some really good fic out there for it, too.

It is spring here but not very warm or sunny!

Where I grew up, those mushrooms were really common in late summer and autumn. They were also the subject of many, many children's books and stories and fairy tales, teaching kids that they're poisonous and deadly even though they look pretty. As such, they were endlessly fascinating, of course! I did keep my hands off them, of course, but it was fascinating to see something so beautiful and deadly :-)

They are a classic in fairytales! But yes, so deadly. And really full of bugs, apparently, not that I've ever picked one.
