Magnets: I'd heard that cats can too, or at least that it'd been speculated that's why cats are so good at route-finding even if they weren't able to see where they were being taken.

I remember from a BMEzine article that people can sense magnetic fields if they get a magnet implant in a fingertip. That's probably just adapting their sense of touch, but it'd be cool if it was because humans already had a magnetic sense.

That article is fascinating but also kind of weird with the strong Sapir-Whorf stuff.
