Active/primary interests or fandoms: I participate in a few fannish exchanges throughout the year (usually some combination of Yuletide, Purimgifts, Everywoman, and FemslashEx), but beyond that I don't really read or write fanfic these days. I'm more of a "talk about canon" person--mostly science fiction and fantasy books, occasionally a movie or television show. Meta is my jam. I'm also an enthusiastic live theater fan, particularly the immersive/interactive genre. Non-media interests include urban planning, hiking, accessibility, board game design, and history.
If you've seen me around, it's probably because: It's been a while, but fandoms I've been active with in the past include X-men movieverse (original flavor), A:TLA, and The Eagle. And I rubberneck on
I post about: Where I go and what I do. Posts this month have talked about fencing (the sport, not the property border kind), work, The Prisoner (TV), neoclassical sculpture, Terraforming Mars (game), Yuletide, The Woman in Black (play), modern art, eldercare, Michael Pearce's mysteries, urban planning, Meddling Kids (book), and The Midas Flesh (graphic novel). I generally do What I'm Reading Wednesdays at least a couple times a month.
I post/check my feed: I post once or twice a week and check my feed multiple times a day.
I want to find people that post about: I love reading other people's book reviews, whether it's books I've read, books I might someday read, or books of a genre I have no personal interest in but that the person writing about clearly loves. Same for theater reviews, especially if it gives me a window into a production that geography means I'll never see. I like glimpses into Lives I Don't Live in general: post about your job, your family, your weird hobby of building sculptures out of twigs and chewing gum? I'll read it all.
I am most interested in interacting with people on: DW or Goodreads. I find the rhythm of Discord servers hard to get into, but I'm happy to use it as an instant messaging platform for people I also interact with elsewhere (moment of silence for AIM, here).
My blog is: Almost entirely friends only.
Anything else you need to know about me: I'm poly, though the boring kind where I've been dating the same people forever and no one has any angst about it. I live alone except for my cats. I'm Jewish (December is not my favorite month). I'm an older millennial of the "grew up playing Oregon Trail" variety. I live in the US, but not in a state. Sometimes I post photos.
