This helped me a lot in early 2017 when Trump had just been elected, and I am hoping we can get the same feeling going again, after the UK election was such a shock.

Connections are important when it feels like the world is getting darker. Fandom is a huge and strong network of people. We don't always get along, but we're stronger together.

Hello! It just occurred to me yesterday that the Witcher could be my second fandom if I ever managed to branch out from HP. This is my friending comment. I’ve read the books in excellent translation into Finnish, and played The Wild Hunt first in English, then in Polish (with subtitles), and having started to watch the TV series, I got excited about it again, just wondered in which language I could write it (not in Polish, which I only understand a bit). I’d love to see some of that fandom through your journal. While I got years ago more interested in reading f/f and otherwise about female characters, I still write only Remus/Sirius with females usually as minor characters. But I enjoy discussion on writing and fiction in general, and we’ve got that in common, I guess.

Hi! I added you. I don't know how much I'll be posting about The Witcher though (at least, until the second season of the TV show drops).

I read a few of the short stories ages ago, spoiled myself for the game, and then just finished the new TV show in a few sittings. :) If you have thoughts about the show, especially compared with the books and the games, I'd love to hear them.

I read your friending comment, and we also overlap on queer issues and on education. I volunteer as an adult literacy tutor and love it a lot, and I'd definitely be interested in reading anything you write about it. And I love your statement about art at the end of your friending comment. :)

Yay for overlapping! I’m glad! So far I’ve posted mainly about (my) HP fic, but I’m more likely to start posting about those other things (that you mention), too, when I know there’s someone around who’s interested. Whatever we write will always (or only if it’s art?) be completed only by a recipient, right?
