To lurkingcat and thisbluespirit who are my fandom triplets. And muccamukk who almost makes us quads, for yesterday's birthday. I hope you all had a good and safe day. Birthdays are stressful for me, but knowing I have fandom friends out there who share the day really helps.

I had to work, but there was a tray of assorted slices, and I had a bit of the peppermint and a bit of the jelly one.

For my birthday, I got an official ADHD diagnosis, and am on the path to getting medicated. I'm not really sure what to make of it, at 49. I think it means maybe I can be a little gentler on myself when I lose my socks yet again?

No matter how high functioning you are (and you obviously are) I think you'll be surprised at the difference medication makes. I've certainly seen it in my family.

Happy birthday fandom sis! Those slices look fantastic. And having a diagnosis that allows you to be a little gentler on yourself sounds like a good thing. I hope it helps in other ways too.

Eldest Niece also shares a birthday with us and while she swims in different fandoms she is very definitely One Of Us. As of today she is old enough to vote. I thought this would make me feel old but it turns out that it just makes me feel amazed and proud and hopeful that she's the future.
