One more sleep! One more sleep! We estimate we will have DH by about eleven am, which is in about sixteen hours. *chews nails* We will start reading at work, which will probably be ferociously busy, with customers who just don't understand how important it is that we read as fast as possible, with little or no interruption. Damn those customers who give me money so I can has wages so I can buy books. Damn them.
It really will be busy, because tomorrow the local footy club has its big fundraiser. This year, it's a Duck Drop, which is like Cow Bingo, without the cow manure. Or the cow. They have 200 numbered ducks, and they get dropped from a helicopter onto the football field, where a target has been drawn with white paint. You buy a number, and if your duck is the one that lands closest to the centre, you win a mass of money. Ah, country living! Our duck is #26. It's not a real duck. We should name him. I shall call him Mundungus.
Also, my little sister is coming to stay the weekend. This is confusing to me, she's only done this twice in her life, but I've explained to her what the events of the weekend will be, and I've organised a copy of DH for her to read too, and she seems happy with that, as long as I help her with her chemistry homework. *channels Potions Master*
Reversathon is over! I can reveal that I wrote under the name Caxton Crutchley-Corne,
crutchley_corne, and this is he:
I'll post my fic later, when fandom returns to the net, but in the meantime, I wanted to say thank you to
hikaru who wrote Snape fic for me: "We Were All Basically Alone", Snape/Regulus, rated R. It was a thoughtful look at Snape's life from birth until the end of the HBP, and I loved the way they wrote a withdrawn, self-protective Severus, as well as a frighteningly manipulative Lucius Malfoy and a painfully blithe Regulus Black.
There's a summary of all the Reversathon authors here: Reversathon Masterlist. It was great fun, and I hope I can do it again next year, provided fandom still exists post-Deathly Hallows.
Ah, well. See everyone on the other side!
ETA:
