Baby Cheeses
It's a really stupid joke but from looking at my interests, I'm not the only one who finds it funny. I saw it on Kath and Kim, a cringingly good Aussie parody of life in the suburbs.


Kath (foxy moron on the right) asked her daughter Kim (hornbag on the left) to organise a statue of baby Jesus for her wedding buffet. And Kath got to work with the toothpicks and the tiny cheeses.

Okay, it's a stupid joke, but I'm still laughing.

The Cat Empire
Wiki says The Cat Empire are "A fusion of jazz, ska, funk and rock with heavy Latin influences." But they're so much more!


They're from Melbourne, and sing about places I've been to, like Half-Moon Bay, and the St Kilda beach. They got family members to design their logo and album art. They're great to their fans. They always sound like they're having a great time, except when their hearts are breaking, in which case yours will be breaking with them.

Iron Man

Tony Stark is the best flawed hero in the Marvel universe, he has the wackiest, zaniest girlfriends, and an ongoing bromance with Captain America. He was a race-car driver! And his own suit has a crush on him! It's all good with Iron Man.

This movie is going to be awesome.

Scott/Emma

I don't get why people hate this ship. I don't get why people think Emma Frost is so wrong for Scott - there are many, many similarities between Emma and Jean. (Which is why they also make a good couple.)


The Ultimates

So, Marvel took the Avengers, and re-imagined them, and made them sexier, and more bad-ass, and even more screwed up than their 616 versions. And they made Nick Fury out of Samuel L Jackson, and they made Janet Asian and she even looked Asian sometimes. And they made Hulk say "Hulk want Freddie Prinze Jnr!", for which they will win forever. But most of all, they made Thor sexy. Really hot and sexy.

And that's why I read the The Ultimates.

Wombats
We have the best fauna in Australia. A wombat is a hairy pig-like thing that digs burrows, and bears its young in a pouch. There's two kinds, the hairy-nosed wombat, and presumably the not so hairy nosed kind.

Some other marsupials you may enjoy include the feather-tailed bilby, a small hopping mouse (with a pouch).

And our scary, ferocious predator marsupial, the Spotted Quoll. It eats bilbies and small insects. And it has a pouch. Marsupial is Latin for "thing with a pouch".

Terrifying.
