Send help! Drowning in teh cute!
Feb. 2nd, 2006 12:00 pmMy LJ has turned into a mushy pet blog. I do have other interests... I think I do.
We picked up our kitten on Saturday. He's a darling, but so tiny. We were planning to call him Bamf, (because he'd be a fuzzy elf, see?) but he's not the bamfy kind. Didn't bamf once. In a way I'm glad, because it would have been difficult to explain that we named our cat after the comic book sound effect of Nightcrawler teleporting. (I'm a self-conscious geek!)
As it turns out, he's not the kind of kitten that leaps around in little jumps, but more an intrepid explorer who goes on long and epic adventures (right around the house, and through TWO bead curtains), then settles down for some lunch and a nap. The breeder told us he likes breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses and luncheon, so we called him Baggins. My sister said "I knew you'd give him some kind of Star Wars name."
He has enormous feet, very handy for digging in the tray. We call him Shovelfoot.

His eyes are blue, but they reflect red. He's our first blue-eyed cat, so it was a bit of a shock.

He's all ears and legs. And lungs. And tail. And cute.

And here's Aeon watching him carefully. She was quite scared at first, but now has settled into snooty disdain. Baggins has a huge crush on her and follows her around, but she has nothing for him but a swat on the ear.
