Icons ate my brain

st_aurafinaLast night I had a dream, and in my dream, the colour aqua was an entity. Aqua was kind of dotty, and sometimes filmy, but it made me happy that it was around. I usually have very literal dreams. This one was a little unusual.
It's because of the icon making, I'm sure. I made a Kaylee icon with lots of aqua in it yesterday. I'm very taken with the colour burn filter, and will, no doubt, be over-doing it big time, because it's my new favourite toy.
Here is Kaylee's icon, starring my new friend, aqua. I really wanted an icon of Kaylee and her umbrella.
I made a new default icon, using a crop from a Julia Margaret Cameron albumen print. Again with the colour burn. I'm sure it's not tasteful, but it's so rich and orange, like tea.
And I made a dalek icon, from the 5th Doctor's dalek story. I love that dalek going out the window. I can fly! Oh bugger, no I can't.
This tutorial was for a very complicated icon, so I was quite pleased to make my way through it. My version with Inara:
So, the learning curve is steep, but not impossible. And colour-burn is the best filter. And aqua is an entity.
