So where the bloody hell are you?
Mar. 24th, 2006 03:29 pmI love the new Aussie Tourism campaign:
http://www.wherethebloodyhellareyou.com/
It was banned in the UK, except for late night TV. Bloody Hell! Aussie ads censored
It premiered this week in the US, and people are upset: Family group protest over "bloody" ad
This was my favourite bit: "When you think 'bloody' in America you think the red liquid that flows from human bodies which is usually a sign of some kind of violence," Mr Sharp said.
In a disturbing kind of segue, there's a giant koala menacing our street at night. It sounds 40 feet high, King Kong Koala. I haven't seen it, but it sounds huge, and it seems to walk right past my window in the night. A koala, although seemingly fluffy and small, sound like the bastard child of a trail bike and a bush pig. This particular specimen is scary-loud. I wish it would go away.
