1. I switched on cross-posting to Tumblr. I hope it works! (Totally inspired by muccamukk who is getting femslashex organised for this year.) I already have cross-posting set up for comicstore_news but I want to be more integrated here.

2. femslashex, a femslash exchange that is lots of fun! The new schedule is up, and nominations will open soon.

3. I did Camp NaNo. I wrote 30K of Person of Interest fixit fic. Now I must finish it. I'm starting to think I'm a serial non-finisher of long fics. (Would anyone be interested in Ameripicking?)

4. Imzy is a thing suddenly, and might be the next thing fandom moves to after Tumblr. It seems to have comments that thread, and a generally more friendly atmosphere, though there is some question about whether they'll allow NC-17 art works. (The answer from the creators right now seems to be yes for fanworks, no for pr0n, which might not make for the best fandom environment? But they're talking about it, at least.) My personal comm is here - that's what people seem to be doing, since you can't follow individual profiles just yet.

I should warn you that I haven't actually seen POI (other than pictures and posts on fandomsecrets), so if there are aspects of the story that rely on knowing what city certain characters are from and so forth, I'll need some background (or I can read the POI wiki or somesuch?)

I think it should be easy to recap for you, if you need it? The show is set in NYC, and rarely goes outside the city. I've got characters in Arizona and on an air force base in Virginia. And probably Florence, Italy, but I haven't gotten to that part of the story yet, and at least I've been to Florence so I can probably fake that okay. I hope. The POI wiki is pretty great, though.

One character (Root) is Texan, thought I don't know how much that shows in her syntax etc? I can't detect it, but I'd need it to be an exaggerated accent for that, I think. I'm pretty sure Harold (who is from rural Iowa) has some kind of accent but I have no clue if it's a midwest accent or something he's put on to hide his midwest roots. (None of this is really relevant to the plot, but accents and what they tell us about characters are really interesting to me!)

I use IFTTT - it picks up the RSS from my dreamwidth and posts it to my tumblr. You get your RSS fee here, and you need to have a login at IFTTT, with the RSS and Tumblr channels activated.

It sounds harder than it is - IFTTT is pretty easy to negotiate. But let me know if you have a problem.

I created an account the other day, but haven't really used it much. Apparently it's based on reddit, so it's supposed to be more like messageboards than blogging (that's why if people want to have a personal blog they have to use a work-around and create a community for themselves).
