This helped me a lot in early 2017 when Trump had just been elected, and I am hoping we can get the same feeling going again, after the UK election was such a shock.

Connections are important when it feels like the world is getting darker. Fandom is a huge and strong network of people. We don't always get along, but we're stronger together.

Make new friends, reconnect with those who have drifted, enlarge your circle, and know you are not alone.

Hello! I'm not super participatory in fandoms anymore, apart from reading voraciously, but I'm a Star Wars fan and a fan of MCU fic (I have seen some but not all of the movies, read fic by Steve/Tony shippers from 616 comicsverse and have been told on occasion that the MCU fic I prefer reading is Doing It Wrong so *shrug*) and your journal seems interesting so I have added you *wave*

Active/primary interests or fandoms: Itabags, fandom enamel pin collecting, planner design, and listography. For fandoms, I have some listed in my interests, but I mostly write about video games.

If you've seen me around, it's probably because: I used to be an active icon maker on LiveJournal/Dreamwidth before Photobucket ate my collection. Still warms my heart to see icons used though.

I post about: Combination of real life and what I'm getting up to fandom-wise. I'm not a fic writer or artist. I'm good at finding things for sale within my fandoms and redirecting my friends to them though. I'm a traditional blogger so if you were around in early 2000's of LiveJournal, Scribbld, GreatestJournal, etc... that's what I get up to.

I post/check my feed: Daily. I comment when I can provide something whether it's support or a suggestion.

I want to find people that post about: Mutual interests, but also willing to connect with people. Most of my blogging is social, basically internet penpals with a closer connection. I leave comments practically everywhere I can. Because of this, I refuse to add anyone under the age of 18.

I love emotionally contained, capable women, frequently with a sardonic bent to them. Female friendships, female emotional strength and resilience and men who respect that in their relationships.

I'm trying to get into Stumptown but I have immense trouble watching TV shows these days. My garden/garden things are probably going to take up a lot of time this year since I've been voted in as president of my environmentally-aware gardening club (permaculture, if you know what that is). I'm actually trying to incite the gardening club (full of environmentally conscious Baby Boomers) to start strongarming local politicians out of their conservativism.

The other major thing I anticipate occupying this year is my fiction writing.
