This helped me a lot in early 2017 when Trump had just been elected, and I am hoping we can get the same feeling going again, after the UK election was such a shock.
Connections are important when it feels like the world is getting darker. Fandom is a huge and strong network of people. We don't always get along, but we're stronger together.
Make new friends, reconnect with those who have drifted, enlarge your circle, and know you are not alone.

Active/primary interests or fandoms: Every time I see this question, I freeze up and go "fandoms? what are fandoms, precious?". I'm in Vorkosigan Saga, 镇魂 | Guardian, Nirvana In Fire, Highlander, Discworld, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, Les Miserables, various hockey related things, various space related things, the occasional Star War. I read fic in a lot of fandoms I've never consumed the canons for; this year there's been a lot of MXTX in my life.
If you've seen me around, it's probably because: I've been around fandom since 1998 and been using this username since roughly the summer/fall of 2002.
I post about: lots of fandom stuff, vague complaining about my life, politics, occasionally religion
I post/check my feed: I check my feed all the time. I don't have a posting schedule, just whenever I want.
I want to find people that post about: All kinds of stuff! Those who share fandoms, those who don't but could in the future. People who post fic, people who share or rec fic, people who do meta, people who participate in other ways. People who post other kinds of things.
I am most interested in interacting with people on: Dreamwidth and AO3
My blog is: Mostly public. I lock things that could be RL-identifiable.
Anything else you need to know about me: One day I will make an intro post. Maybe. I'm a Jewish genderqueer lesbian with health issues, including chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and OCD. It's fun! I read a ton of fic, and write some of it. I really love villainous and "bad guy" characters; I imprinted very strongly on Jafar from Aladdin as a wee!Lanna. I focus very much on family aspects in my fandom life. I have a sweatshirt somewhere in my apartment from, I think the Library of Moria, that proclaims all the ways I am a slasher, and though I have not worn that sweatshirt in over a decade, I have no intention of ever getting rid of it. :P
