Happy birthday, fam

To lurkingcat and thisbluespirit who are my fandom triplets. And muccamukk who almost makes us quads, for yesterday's birthday. I hope you all had a good and safe day. Birthdays are stressful for me, but knowing I have fandom friends out there who share the day really helps.

I had to work, but there was a tray of assorted slices, and I had a bit of the peppermint and a bit of the jelly one.

For my birthday, I got an official ADHD diagnosis, and am on the path to getting medicated. I'm not really sure what to make of it, at 49. I think it means maybe I can be a little gentler on myself when I lose my socks yet again?

Ooh, those look delicious! A very happy birthday to you! I have a tradition of giving people socks just because I... like giving socks? And there are so many cool socks?

I hope your diagnosis is helpful for you! ♥ Coincidentally I just got the paperwork underway to schedule an ADHD evaluation and it makes me feel better to know there is anyone out there with ADHD (and I'm 47) at or near my age. For some bizarre reason I thought maybe I was the only one.

The diagnosis was extremely useful, and now I'm on the meds, which have made a huge difference. Good luck with your own journey - you're definitely not alone.

I'm so glad to hear the meds have made a huge difference for you, that's great! The journey has taken a bit of a turn but I'm feeling okay about it. I certainly can still use any tips and tricks. :)
