I know it's not Friday anywhere in the world now, since it's Sunday here, but I had this written for the Friday fannish5: What 5 pieces of advice would you give to characters in your fandom(s)?

1. Never go to sleep angry. Feuds can stew for decades this way. Why not try arguing in bed? It leads to fantastic make-up sex. (I'm talking to you, Siruis Black and Erik Lehnsherr. Although not as a couple, fascinating as that sounds.)

2. Passive aggressive control freaks, and attention-seeking egomaniacs do not a happy couple make. (I'm talking to you, Remus Lupin, and Charles Xavier.)

3. Telepaths make the worst mind-readers. Try talking to people, rather than looking in their heads. (Charles Xavier? Severus Snape? Eavesdroppers hear no good of themselves.)

4. You've got to tell someone something sometime. Telling someone the truth is never as hard as you think it's going to be. Stop putting it off until you think people can handle it. (Please stand up, Albus Dumbledore, Charles Xavier again, everyone in X-files after 7th season, and speaking of 7th things, the 7th Doctor too.)

5. The crazy person is your radio to God. Listen to the broadcast carefully. (Professor Trelawney, River Tam - snuggle up close to them and listen to what they say. Don't be put off by personal hygiene issues or knives.)
